Claude Cowork is Anthropic's AI agent for everyday office work. Regular Claude is a chat window: you paste things in, it talks back. Cowork works in your actual files. Point it at a folder and it can read the documents inside, draft the report you asked for, clean up the spreadsheet, or organize the mess, step by step, like a careful new colleague.

What's the difference between Cowork and a chatbot?
A chatbot gives you an answer. An agent finishes a task. Ask a chatbot for a board report and you get an outline to fill in.
