Wellforce
Pillar 3 of 5

A real IT manager — without the FTE.

A named, dedicated technologist who shows up on-site, runs your IT operations cadence, and is on a first-name basis with your team. The single person you escalate to. The single person who owns the roadmap.

The problem

What this fixes

  • You need someone who runs IT day-to-day, not just answers tickets.

  • You don't have the budget — or the consistent volume — for a full-time IT manager.

  • Your team doesn't know who to call when something needs a decision, not just a fix.

What's included

Inside Virtual IT Manager (vITM)

Pulled from the Complete IT Partnership SOW. Every line item is operated, not just listed.

  • On-site cadence

Scheduled on-site visits — typically weekly or bi-weekly — to drive projects and stay close to your people.

  • Vendor management

Wellforce becomes the single point for ISP, telecom, copier, alarm, AV, and software vendors. You stop being the middle.

  • Project oversight

Refresh cycles, M&A integrations, office moves, audits — your vITM owns the plan and the standups.

  • Operations cadence

Weekly internal stand-up, monthly business review with your leadership, quarterly roadmap revisions.

  • Onboarding + offboarding

Full lifecycle — accounts, licenses, hardware, access reviews. Nothing falls between the cracks.

  • Documentation discipline

IT Glue stays current. Runbooks for everything. The vITM is the librarian.

Questions

About Virtual IT Manager (vITM)

How is a vITM different from your help desk?

The help desk fixes tickets. The vITM runs your IT operation. They lead vendor calls, drive projects, sit in your leadership cadence, and own the roadmap. They never close tickets — they close decisions.

How is a vITM different from a vCIO?

The vITM is operational — they're in your office. The vCIO is strategic — they sit in your board meetings. Most clients have both, working together. See the vCIO page for that side.

Do we get to meet our vITM before signing?

Yes. The vITM is named in the SOW, and you meet them during the sales process. If the chemistry isn't right, we re-pair before contract signing.

What if our vITM leaves Wellforce?

You get a transition vITM with a 90-day shadow period. Your operational documentation is in IT Glue, so the runbook doesn't walk out the door with the person.

Is the vITM available outside of scheduled visits?

Yes — Slack, email, phone. Scheduled visits are the rhythm; ad-hoc availability is part of the partnership.
