When the partnership isn't right.
If you fit one of these, we'll point you to a better option — including competitors who do that work better than we do.
-
Organizations under 25 people — the partnership math doesn't work; project rates fit better.
-
Organizations with a full internal IT department of 5+ — we're not a co-managed augmentation play.
-
Organizations that want hourly break-fix only — we don't sell that anymore. Other reputable shops in DC/Raleigh do.
About the partnership
How is the IT Partnership priced?
Per-user, per-month. Bands of $150–$250 depending on size, complexity, and add-ons. The fee covers Help Desk, Systems Admin, Managed Network, vITM, vCIO, and ATM cybersecurity. Compliance and project work are scoped separately.
How long does onboarding take?
Two to four weeks, depending on complexity. The first quarterly business review is scheduled in week four. See the onboarding timeline below.
Do I have to take all five pillars?
For the partnership pricing, yes — the value is the integrated ops cadence (named vITM, weekly rhythm, monthly QBR). Pick-and-choose service contracts are available for orgs under 25 people, but they're a different product.
How does Wellforce IT differ from a typical MSP?
Three things: (1) a named vITM who is on-site weekly or bi-weekly, (2) a vCIO who sits in your leadership cadence quarterly, and (3) ATM cybersecurity built in, not sold as an add-on. Most MSPs in this market sell ticket fulfillment; we sell the IT department.
Can you take over an internal IT person's job?
We can — and often do, when the internal person is leaving. We can also augment an existing internal hire (they handle on-site relationships, we handle the depth). Both work; the right pattern depends on your size and trajectory.
Do you serve outside DC and Raleigh?
Most of our work is in DC, NoVA, MD, and the Triangle. We can serve clients elsewhere, but on-site cadence becomes a flight, not a drive — that changes economics.
How fast is "10-minute response" actually?
Average is 6 minutes during business hours. SLA is 10 minutes. After-hours sev-1 paging acknowledges within 30 minutes. The trend report we publish monthly tracks the actual numbers.
What happens when our vITM is on vacation?
Your account has a primary vITM and a secondary technologist who covers PTO. The vCIO is your continuity reference. We document everything in IT Glue so the cover handoff is clean.
Can we move off the partnership later?
Yes. Standard exit term is 60 days. We hand over your IT Glue export, all configurations, all credentials, and a transition runbook. We try to make it painless to leave because we don't want to keep clients who'd rather not stay.
