Claude Cowork guide · Pricing

Claude Cowork pricing, with real numbers.

No 'contact sales' games. What Cowork costs on each Claude plan, when Enterprise is worth it, and what a done-for-you team rollout runs, from the firm that publishes all of its own prices too.

The short answer

Cowork itself costs nothing extra.

Claude Cowork is included with Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. There is no separate Cowork subscription. Pro starts at $20 per month. Team Standard is $20 per seat per month with annual billing or $25 billed monthly. Team Premium is $100 annualized or $125 monthly. Self-serve Enterprise is $20 per seat per month plus usage billed at API rates.

Claude Free does not include Cowork. Eligible nonprofits can get Team for $8 per user per month after Anthropic’s verification. Every plan has usage limits or usage-based charges, so the real budget is seats plus usage plus any rollout work. Our implementation runs $2,500 to $9,500 flat.

Questions

Claude Cowork pricing, answered

Is Claude Cowork free or paid?
Claude Cowork is paid. It is not included on Claude Free, but there is no separate Cowork license. Cowork is included with Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
Is Claude Cowork worth paying for?
It can be when your team has recurring multi-step work involving documents, research, files, or connected tools. The test is not whether people like the demo. It is whether two or three named workflows save enough time to justify the seats and rollout.
Does Claude Pro include Cowork?
Yes. Claude Pro includes Cowork and costs $20 per month or $200 per year in the United States as of July 29, 2026. It is the lowest-cost option for one person who wants Cowork.
What is the difference between Claude and Cowork?
Claude chat answers prompts in a conversation. Cowork is the agentic work mode for multi-step tasks involving files, connectors, plugins, projects, scheduled work, and supported computer use. Both live in the Claude experience.
How much does Claude Cowork cost?
There is no separate charge for Cowork: it is included with every paid Claude plan, so what you pay is the plan price. Team Standard is $20 per seat per month on annual billing, or $25 billed monthly, as of the verified date above. Pro and Max cover individuals; Enterprise is quoted and adds single sign-on, audit logs, and custom roles. The only cost beyond seats is heavy usage on the largest jobs, and professional setup if you want the rollout handled for you.
How much is Claude Cowork for a small team?
Team Standard costs $20 per seat per month with annual billing or $25 billed monthly. A 10-person team pays $200 to $250 a month before taxes and any extra usage credits. Eligible nonprofits can pay $8 per user per month through Anthropic’s nonprofit program.
Do we need Claude Enterprise?
Use Enterprise when you need SCIM, audit logs, fine-grained roles, custom retention, network controls, IP allowlisting, a HIPAA-ready option, or usage-based scale. Team now includes SSO and several organization controls, so many small organizations do not need Enterprise.
What does professional Claude Cowork implementation cost?
Wellforce charges a one-time flat fee of $2,500 to $9,500 depending on seats and controls (legal deployments start at $3,500). That covers plan selection, setup, two or three connected tools, a starter prompt and Skills library you keep, two hands-on training sessions, and a one-page AI use policy. Live in about two weeks. All bands are published on our pricing page.
Are there nonprofit discounts?
Yes. Anthropic lists Team pricing at $8 per user per month for eligible nonprofits buying fewer than 20 seats, after verification through Goodstack. Enterprise nonprofit pricing is available through sales. Wellforce also offers nonprofit implementation pricing.
What usually surprises teams about the cost?
That licenses are the small line. The expensive version of Claude Cowork is the one nobody uses: seats paid for twelve months while staff quietly keep doing things the old way. Training and simple rules are what turn the subscription into actual saved hours, which is why our flat fee spends most of its effort there.
